Un-Gyve Press | The Un-Gyve Limited Group
Our intent is to offer an Un-Gyve perspective upon the arts and trades that engage us; and to do so in an engaging way. Photo-journal features by the inimitable Mark Chester appear in our travel-logue. The dia-logue pages contain conversations with people we admire, and in -logue no. 1 we question Mark. Our cata-logue pages feature his photography as well, along with work of other Un-Gyve artists and archives. The mono-logue pages include editorial notes and feature articles.

The Un-Gyve Limited Group of Companies is vertically integrated in the luxury residential and contract furnishings and multidisciplinary design and marketing service sectors. The privately held companies include Bis Bis, Un-Gyve Limited, Domus Design + Development, and Isole Gallery of Art + Industrial Design.
Bis Bis has represented for twenty years the world’s foremost architects and designers. The Bis Bis catalogue continues to present a full range of high-end residential and contract furniture, of modular kitchen and bath cabinetry, of plumbing fixtures and fittings, of architectural hardware, lighting, textiles, accessories, and of fine art. The enduring materials include tempered crystal glass, lava and other unusual stone, metal and millwork. Attentive to custom design, manufacture and installation, Bis Bis offers to a select clientele an assured sequence from initial planning, through meticulous construction, to a project’s fulfillment. What has been accomplished by way of design and of product is visible internationally in the finest residential developments, hotels and restaurants.
The Bis Bis distribution network can call upon the leading retailers and wholesalers, nationally and internationally. These have supplied Bis Bis product for large-scale undertakings, for instance, in New York City (the Metropolitan Museum, and NYU campuses), in St. Louis (the Boeing Headquarters), and nationwide (Lucent Technologies). In Europe, the installations range from the factories of Ferrari and General Electric, to the showrooms of Ferragamo, of Gucci, and of Prada.
Bis Bis has been featured editorially not only in such trade journals as Kitchen and Bath Design News, in Custom Home, and in Interior Design Magazine, and in the wider-interest journals (House Beautiful and Home), but also in such far-ranging publications as The New York Times and in international magazines: Azure, and Il Bagno. Furthermore, handsome art-books such as Minimalism and Color (2003) and Muebles de Casa (2001) have recognized Bis Bis for its cooperation in elevating design to art, such books showing not only what Bis Bis can do but what it has done.
To its responsibilities towards design and architecture, Bis Bis has long added a sense of social responsibility, manifest in its ethical and philanthropic business practice. Bis Bis has been, for instance, a pioneer in design that is both ecologically sound and of universal application (ADA compliant, and barrier-free). Bis Bis is not only a contributor to such organizations as Habitat for Humanity but is a founder of the International DU/Disegno Universale exhibit.
